Week 6 Studio Mixing practice and in class production

Week 6: Mixing Session & Production Time

Week 6: Collaborative Mixing Session & Production Time

Part 1: Collaborative Mixing Session (Studio – 2 hours)

This week, you’ll start with a hands-on mixing session where you will work together as a group on a multitrack project in Ableton Live. Each student will have a chance to contribute their perspective to the mix, applying techniques we have learned in previous weeks.

Download the multitrack project file below and have it ready for the lesson:

Part 2: Music Production Time (Classroom – 2 hours)

In the second part of the session, you’ll have dedicated time to work on your own music production. This is an open session for you to get creative with your tracks. I’ll be available throughout the class to provide one-on-one guidance, answer your questions, and share tips on production, mixing, and sound design.

Next Week: Reading Week

Next week is Reading Week! This is a great opportunity to catch up on your production projects, polish your mixes, or work on your essay. If you need any help with mixing, production techniques, or writing your essay, feel free to reach out during this time or plan questions for our next session.
